With a filmmaking career that spans more than two decades, Film Connection mentor, producer and filmmaker Daniel Sollinger is a highly experienced professional who’s known for making well-informed decisions that keep projects on-budget without compromising creative vision.
Daniel has recently wrapped two projects. Starring the hilarious Ken Jeong (Community, The Hangover Part II) Daniel Dae Kim, and Eric Roberts, Ktown Cowboys is a gritty but comedic film focused on L.A’s Koreatown that tells the story of a group of hard-partying Korean-American friends struggling with the conflicting cultural obstacles of being both Korean and American. Ktown Cowboys will be taking the festival circuit by storm in coming months.
Daniel’s also excited about the film he just wrapped production on, L.A. Slasher, a biting social satire that pokes fun at today’s hyper-driven reality TV and sometimes shameful pop celebrity culture. Daniel calls the film “a social satire and a lot of fun.” L.A. Slasher opens in theatres this April.
