Eddie Kramer As part of the Recording Connection’s new partnership with Studio Prodigy Master Class Series, we’re happy to be an official sponsor of “The Eddie Kramer Experience,” a special master class coming up quickly on June 21-22 at East/West Studio One in Los Angeles. The Studio Prodigy Master Class Series connects up-and-coming producing and audio engineering students with some of the industry’s greatest icons with special workshops held in some of the best recording studios in LA. It’s a great opportunity to learn from the best in an intimate setting—and since the Recording Connection is all about on-the-job training with real producers and engineers, we’re obviously stoked to support this event.   Producer/engineer Eddie Kramer has worked with everyone from David Bowie to The Rolling Stones to KISS, along with many other rock and roll greats. During this two-day master class, he’ll cover many advanced techniques of recording and mixing, along with hands-on application as Eddie records a real band in the studio over the weekend.   This master class session is geared to advanced audio students, and space is limited. Thunder UndergroundAdrian Romero got the call of a lifetime just a week before completing his Recording Connection apprenticeship at Thunder Underground in Palm Springs, CA.   Marco Flores, a producer for Telemundo, Univision and NBC, came in to get some work done at the studio. While there, he mentioned he needed some help recording audio tracks for TV and Trevor Adkinson, Adrian’s mentor, was quick to recommend Adrian for the job!   So what does Adrian have to say about his new gig?   “I have been working with this producer, and I’m mixing, mastering and even co-producing!” says Adrian. “Our music has been aired on Telemundo already, and this is just the beginning.   “I’m super glad I did this program,”  he continues. “I’m doing more than I ever dreamed of.” – Congratulations, Adrian!

Pensado’s Place scholarship recipient excelling in the studio!
Rosalinda GarciaThanks to our partnership with popular audio engineering Internet show Pensado’s Place, the Recording Connection recently awarded Rosalinda Garcia a full scholarship to apprentice at the world-renowned House Studio in Washington, DC. The studio’s project manager Davina Thomas recently reached out to us to let us know the money is being well spent! Not only has she been bringing bands into the studio to record, but she recently had the opportunity to assist the main engineer on the boards as the National Cathedral School came to the studio to learn more about audio engineering and record some PSAs.   “She is doing great!,” says Davina. “Rosalinda is excelling, and you could not have given the scholarship to a better person.” Way to make us proud, Rosalinda!
