Apprentices in Action

A Day in the Life of Our Students

dylan-mullins Recording Connection apprentice at Truphonic Recording Dylan Mullins (Charleston, SC) recently had a terrific experience assisting his mentor Elliott Elsey during a broadcast performance by Band of Horses who played to a private in-studio audience to raise money for Hurricane Matthew relief! Dylan’s mentor Elliot says, “We mixed the live recordings promptly after the performance and sent the mixes to the band and label for approval for radio play…Dylan helped transform the live room into an intimate performance venue” and the band was, “thoroughly impressed with the facility and professionalism of our staff.”   Dylan’s pretty jazzed about the experience and says, “It was amazing and impressive. [The band] finished it all in just one take! I’m thankful for my mentor Eliott Elsey for letting me join along with this…I met a lot of good people in the radio industry and even the band members themselves, along with other music producers.”    Gear EXPO Representing RRFC and getting CONNECTED! Our students had a great time joining Dave Pensado and Herb Trawick of Pensado’s Place and the pros from Vintage King Audio at Gear Expo 2016, in Nashville, TN. Learn more about this yearly event that takes place in Nashville and Los Angeles at thegearexpo.com.   And… you already know about “CONNECTED” the show that gets you in, don’t you?
