The Electric Daisy Carnival comes to Vegas!

Electric Daisy Carnival is one of the largest electronic dance music festivals in the world. Heralded as the biggest and most elaborate EDM festival in the world, this traveling circus-style festival moves from city to city. This year, the most highly attended and frequently sold out EDC is appearing in New York, Las Vegas, and Buckinghamshire (England).

Over the course of its existence, EDC has held festivals in Florida, Colorado, Illinois, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Texas, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Brazil, and Japan, placing Electric Daisy Carnival at the very epicenter of EDM subculture. This is the festival all the biggest acts play, all the most hardcore fans attend, and the place where all the up-and-comers transition into bona fide stars.

EDC started in the 1990s as an outdoor rave series in Los Angeles put on by Steve Kool-Aid and Gary Richards. As EDC grew it needed larger and larger venues. The festival moved around the greater Los Angeles area for a good ten years appearing at Shrine Auditorium, Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, Queen Mary Events Park, National Orange Show Events Center, Hansen Dam, and Exposition Park, just to name a few.

This year the EDC Las Vegas festival has some stellar headliners which include, Above & Beyond, Afrojack, Armin Van Buuren, AVICCII, Alesso/Inrosso, Calvin Harris, Cedric Gervais, Fedde Le Grand, Kaskade, Martin Garrix, and Krewella.

The Electric Daisy Carnival is one of the few electronic dance shows that puts the music first, spotlighting the artist and the work. It also places emphasis on the culture of the show, encouraging attendees to express themselves and to really be present in the moment. At some of these larger events the culture of the show is streamlined in order to pack as many people into the venue as possible. That’s not the case with EDC. While being a massive show, EDC still works hard to foster a positive, uplifting environment for all its attendees.
