The Key West Songwriters Festival is the festival that many singer/songwriters work all year round looking forward to. It’s an environment that not only promotes the individual but also enables them to really push forward in their creative pursuits. It’s also a place where new and aspiring musicians can go and learn from currently working masters. It’s a festival that showcases the craft of songwriting as well as the ineffable quality of stage presence.

Key West Songwriters Festival is one of the few places that actually puts the artist first. There are very few distractions or encumbrances preventing individuals from attending shows. So much so, that most of the performances are completely free to the public. Only a select few of the headliners actually charge for admittance into their shows. Most of the venues and performers are there out of love for the craft and a willingness to showcase their skills and creative process.

The Key West Songwriters Festival is one of the last bastions of independently produced music. Most festivals have been overrun by people who have massive record contracts or have segued into being EDM DJs. The Key West Songwriters Festival makes a deliberate point to promote the individual artists who are creating interesting work that comes from the heart. Make sure to attend and don’t miss a single set.
